Become a Dingzoo member

Firstly you need to become a Dingzoo member by registerting at our registration page here.

Enable digital tips

After registration you will see this icon above your profile indicating you have not yet enabled digital tips. To enable, simply press Sign up for tips and it will guide you through the steps to get you all set-up. Please note, we use Stripe which is an online payments system. You can read more about Stripe below inWhat is Stripe section, if needed.

Once you have enabled digital tips, you will see this icon above your profile indicating you are all setup to receive digital tips.

Underneath your profile photo, you will find your Dingzoo ID and your Dingzoo handle. The Dingzoo ID was automatically assigned to you by the system and it is a numeric value. The Dingzoo handle was chosen by you. Advertise either or both of them to all your fans and communicate to them they can tip you by going to /0 or /YourDingzooHandle.

What is Stripe?

Your security is extremely important to us. In order to send tips to you digitally, we need your bank info but we do not want to store your bank info. Instead, we use Stripe for that. Stripe is an online payments system used all over the world and based on our extensive research is one of the best and most secure only payment processors. Stripe is in use by some of the biggest oline market-places. You can read more about Stripe on their own website.

How secure is sign-up?

Stripe is extremely secure

Stripe is in use by millions of companies ranging from startups to the world's largest companies in over 120 countries. You can read more about which companies use them here.

We store none of your banking info on Dingzoo. We delegate payment processing and your bank account storage to Stripe to give you the most secure service. Consequently, this allows us to develop more functionality on Dingzoo and not worry about payment processing.

How to increase tips?

Advertise, advertise and advertise

NOTE: Your Dingzoo handle and ID can be found on your profile page. The handle was chosen by you and the ID was assigned to you by the system.

This is the most important step towards increasing your tips: People need to know you and how/where to reach you. Repeat your Dingzoo ID and Dingzoo handle as often as you can. Your Dingzoo handle is most likely your brand name unless you chose something else. So make sure to advertise it.

Advertising your Dingzoo ID is important too especially during live performances because people may not know how to spell your handle such as "eloquacioushamletive". You want to make it as easy as possible for people to reach you so they can tip you. Thus, advertise your ID also. For example, assuming your Dingzoo ID is 123 it is very easy to communicate to your users "You can tip us at Dingzoo.com/123".

Display your sign from Dingzoo

Upon becoming adinger, you will receive attachments. Open the attachments and print as many copies as you need. Display the sign in a conspicuous areas so your audience can see it.

If you decide to design your own sign, you must keep the Dingzoo name and logo.

Communicate verbally

While displaying a sign is a great step, it does not stop there. If possible, vebally communicate to your audience where and how they can tip you. We suggest the following format:

And always say this too because this will ensure your audience has heard your Dingzoo address at least a couple of times:
